I am a Ph.D. student at the Department of Electrical Engineering at University of Washington, Seattle, working under the supervision of Prof. Alexander Mamishev. My research focuses on using electric field sensors for non-destructive testing. Currently I am working on developing a sensitive skin for prosthesis.

I am an entrepreneurial engineering trying to engineer entrepreneurship. I started out wanting to be a software entrepreneur and founded SkiSoft Inc. in 1994 before finding my way to Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Vel-Tech Engineering College, University of Madras. I currently am associated with a few start up organizations, such as Janani Foods, India, and illionix, Seattle, which are trying to commercialize nascent technologies developed in academic research labs.

In my spare time I dable a bit in photography, and you might catch me every once in a while playing poker with the fine people at Seattle Poker Open.
